What is TCM?

Traditional Chinese medicine is a complete system of medicine which includes acupuncture, herbal medicine, cupping and moxa.  This ancient medicine is over 3,000 years old and is used to heal the body from a wide variety of ailments, naturally and without side effects. Acupuncture improves the body’s functions and promotes the natural self-healing process by stimulating specific anatomic sites. In 1997, the U.S. National Institutes of Health (NIH) documented and publicized acupuncture’s safety and efficacy for treating a wide range of conditions. Since that time, dozens of studies have been published proving the effectiveness of acupuncture and herbal medicine.

Modern research has demonstrated acupuncture’s effects on the nervous system, endocrine and immune systems, cardiovascular system, and digestive system. By stimulating the body’s various systems, acupuncture improves sleep and digestive functions, as well as relieves pain, strengthens immunity, and improves one's sense of well-being.  Chinese medicine has no adverse side effects and can be safely combined with Western medicine to help you reach your best possible state of health.
